What You’ll Find at The Casements in Ormond Beach, FL

Venture over to Ormond Beach, FL, from New Smyrna Beach and you’ll find a whole world of things to do. The crown jewel of Ormond Beach, though, is The Casements property. Named after the grand, hand-cut glass casement windows adorning the mansion, the property was that of former oil tycoon, the late John D. Rockefeller. Just back from the Halifax River and only two blocks away from the Atlantic, The Casements in Ormond Beach, FL, offer a look back into history with multiple exhibits you can tour. Permanent exhibits like the Boy Scout Historical Exhibit and the Hungarian Folk Art Exhibit offer looks at memorabilia and artifacts, respectively. There’s also a gift shop to help you commemorate your visit!

The Rockefeller Gardens at The Casements

Equally as interesting as the mansion, itself, are the Rockefeller Gardens immediately adjacent to the house. While the property was nine acres to begin with, today’s property isn’t quite as expansive. It still features Swedish landscape design and beautiful flowers and greenery, though. Perhaps one of the best property features is the promenade that goes alongside the river. You’ll also find an outdoor stage used for weddings, as well as free movies on the first Friday of the month.
